How to reallocate free space from one partition to another?
Hi I am running Windows 7 and have a 320gb drive. My C: (windows) partition is currently 147gb (96.5gb free) and my D: (DATA) partition is 150gb (38.9gb free). How can I put SOME of the free space from C: and move it to D:? I don’t want to move all free space because I know that I need space on C: for installation of games and programs. I just feel I need some extra space on D: for downloads etc.
Is there any way to do this in disk management? I can take space off of C: but can’t seem to expand D:
Do I need third party software and does anyone know of any proven to be compatible with Windows 7 as I don’t want to mess up my system?

Yeah, I may just have to wait until something proven for Windows 7 will work. I once tried to ghost my vista PC with Norton Ghost just to find out later that it doesn’t support it. Couldn’t get the PC to boot again.
