Small Business Inventory Management Software

Can anyone recommend a good Point of Sale inventory management system?

I am in the process of setting up a small retail business in my city and am looking for the right POS inventory management system.

I’m looking for something that can handle the basic functions of sales and inventory management. It’s a small store, so I do not need anything fancy. I have a very specific idea of what I need this system to do.

Is there some place online that evaluates various POS systems and offers a listing of features and price. I’d like to get an idea of 3 or 4 I may be interested in before I start dealing with the salesmen from each company.

Also, if anyone can recommend a specific company or system that has worked for them, please let me know.

And lastly, if the software will work on a Mac, that’s a plus.

You can take a look at inFlow Inventory. It is a basic inventory system that has all the esstenials.

They have a Free version that is free forever, but limits to 100 products and customers. The software itself is very easy to use and fast to install.
