People Management Software
What is a good FREE project management software?
My girlfriend is starting a side business in interior design, and I am looking into what software she could use for project management and scheduling tasks. I am an engineer and use MS Project at work, but for her purposes she would not require anything that robust. Ideally I am looking for something free, or under $50.
I would prefer responses from people who have actually used free or inexpensive project management software – I’m not looking for links to what you can search on the web because I’ve already done that!

I use something called “Planner”, which is free and open source. It’s intended to provide much / all of the functionality you are used to in MS Project. (I believe Planner was once called “Mr. Project”.)
I use the Gnome / Linux version under Ubuntu. There is a Windows version available for download – which I’ve never tried and can’t comment on.
