i run a small software firm. My employees are making absents on pretext of bad health.how should i handle the situation. One unsatisfied guy has misguided the whole team.
how to handle this ‘mangal pandey’ ?
My Friend there are many ways to handle such situation. Most of the Org world wide face such problems and your Org is no exception to such absenteeism.
You may apply penalties(-) or motivate(+) the team. Motivation could be tangible or intangible suppose u declare that any staff not absent from work will get a free ticket to cinema, or recognition certificate or family dinner anything you can afford. If you motivate them through reward that can be shared by their family, the family members themself will push the employee to work full time in order to be eligible for the reward.
Penalty is however the least preferred choice, PMI never recommend force application of regulation on employee. So better sit with them and try to understand the source of the problem. It may so happen that u r not touching the actual source.
